Although LSU freshman guard Javonte Smart has been cleared to play, head coach Will Wade has not been reinstated and remains suspended.

On Friday, Jacques Doucet with WAFB got this explanation as to why Smart was cleared but not Wade:

From what I understand wade told somebody on the phone that he gave smart a big arse offer ,will the ncaa have to prove that is a monetary offer to get LSU ?

For the record, the "why" part of this story and headline is entirely false. Not an iota of truth to that part.

They reinstated because he spent all the cash leaving no evidence.

Wade will be the next UCLA coach. He wants to be part of an organization that stands up for him and not throw him under the bus 5 miles before the bus even arrives.

Wade has to be dumb as a bag of rocks for offering to buy a player on a phone call.

Well he isn’t meeting his contractual obligation to meet with LSU so he’s gonna have to get over that hurdle to “OWN” LSU

Every day i get more and more angry about LSU’s administration. It’s really gonna take fans boycotting this university for s change to be made. We also need to get rid of our crazy eyed governor and all BOS who are not LSU grads. F them all!

So basically the only thing that needs to happen is someone needs to allege that Alleva or F King did something illegal, for yahoo to pick it up, then tweet about it and boom see ya later?!?! Well what are y'all waiting on. This was an anonymous source that got WW's job so you could also stay confidential. Then they'll see how easy it is. Or for that matter lets go after Saban for football then Kentucky and Florida for basketball. All it takes is one anonymous source. These days you don't even need to substantiate the details. Just tell lies and they run with it. Well this shouldn't be hard to play ball the way!!! All it takes is a little digging, a little investigating, get some proof and get behind the scenes digging up dirt.

Please somebody #metoo Alleva! After white knighting for that crackwhore at Duke, Alleva would have to purge himself if he’s ever merely accused of anything.

Alleva has sealed his fate. He is as good as gone. What a stupid motherfricker.

So it's not an ego thing coming from F King. Alexander??? Cool man, keep it up, I am sure you will win over the people that support LSU by making their head basketball coach have to watch the team struggle heading into the NCAA Tourney. Cool

So what exactly was the illegal offer Wade made again?
Reply55 months

And how do they know an "illegal offer" was made? The transcript doesn't say this. They must have more that has not been made public because nothing in that transcript constitutes anything illegal or in violation of NCAA rules.

All LSU had to say was we are offers are made to thousands of student athletes every year. We are not jumping to conclusions until after the trial is over or more information is obtained.

"Smart cooperated fully, Wade has not" say LSU officials. However, concerning the OLOL audit, LSU officials say, "As this is also an ongoing legal matter involving other parties, investigators have requested LSU have no further comment". So it's OK for LSU to follow legal counsel advice but not Will Wade?

LSU needs to place LSU on suspension until LSU cooperates.

Wade has a contractual obligation to talk with LSU. There is a difference.
