How he got picked that high was pretty amazing to me. A shortstop that doesn't even have the arm to throw a good ball to 1st base, especially on a consistent basis, and a bat that often struggles, made me surprised he got picked that high. I don't know if they have a position change in plan for him or what, but I think he'd do better as a second baseman with his lack of arm strength. That being said, I hope he does well. I'll be rooting for him as well as all the other Tigers.

Damn! I thought he was supposed to be slotted at $425,000? Big drop to $150,000. Anyway, to everyone criticizing this kid, he was our leading hitter in SEC play last year and was 3rd on this years team with 8 homers. Also, SS fields more balls than any position, so of course he'll have more errors. But overall, his defense has been spectacular and MLB teams will know how to develop him. And he has an opportunity to live his dream! How many Al Bundy's out there who can say the same?

Look. I'm sure he's a good kid. But, the dude's arse is narrower than a 12 year old girl's. The days of the "defense only" SS in the Major Leagues are passed. And, his technique at short has issues too.

He'll get a look but, he's got some shite to improve upon if he wants to be in the show.

Honestly surprised he got that much. Teams tend to really screw seniors because they have no leverage. Guys in the 9th round get less than 10k for 150k slots
