I am surprised the camera was not focused on Kim Mulkey in the background.

How he got picked that high was pretty amazing to me. A shortstop that doesn't even have the arm to throw a good ball to 1st base, especially on a consistent basis, and a bat that often struggles, made me surprised he got picked that high. I don't know if they have a position change in plan for him or what, but I think he'd do better as a second baseman with his lack of arm strength. That being said, I hope he does well. I'll be rooting for him as well as all the other Tigers.

Good for him. When he makes it to Springfield I'll see him play. Hopefully, getting his locks cut was part of the contract.

Damn! I thought he was supposed to be slotted at $425,000? Big drop to $150,000. Anyway, to everyone criticizing this kid, he was our leading hitter in SEC play last year and was 3rd on this years team with 8 homers. Also, SS fields more balls than any position, so of course he'll have more errors. But overall, his defense has been spectacular and MLB teams will know how to develop him. And he has an opportunity to live his dream! How many Al Bundy's out there who can say the same?

Seniors have little to no leverage for negotiating. They really have no other option.

I've enjoyed watching him play. Wish him all the best, and I'm thankful he was a Tiger.

Look. I'm sure he's a good kid. But, the dude's arse is narrower than a 12 year old girl's. The days of the "defense only" SS in the Major Leagues are passed. And, his technique at short has issues too. He'll get a look but, he's got some shite to improve upon if he wants to be in the show.

You do realize he can play second. If he can learn to hit 10 to 15 HR's a full year he can play second in mlb

I don't think he has or will have the power to hit with power but his glove at second is good enough to play in mlb but his bat will not

How many years of minor league ball before he returns to be part of CPM's staff?

He had a rough go at the plate much of the year but, he's acappycas hell, and should benefit from more time spent with a hitting coach

He got screwed on his "slot" money. Lol.

Honestly surprised he got that much. Teams tend to really screw seniors because they have no leverage. Guys in the 9th round get less than 10k for 150k slots

Because of his family's financial abilities, Kramer might have taken less guaranteed and bet on himself with a bonus-laden deal
