Bryson DeChambeau is looking skinny these days. In a recent appearance on the 5 Clubs Podcast with Emma Carpenter, DeChambeau explained that being a bigger guy wasn't all it was cracked up to be, per Golf Week...
quote:

“I ate things that were not great for my system that I was very sensitive to and ultimately it got to the point where it was a little bit too much,” he said on the 5 Clubs podcast. “I ate improperly for almost a year and a half and I was starting to feel weird, my gut was all messed up and so I went completely healthy and went on a Whole-30 diet, got a nutritionist. I was super-inflamed.”
This is his old diet:

He got embarrassed by Will Zalatoris, who probably weighs 145 lbs. soaking wet, driving the ball almost as far as him.

His new diet:
“The Whole 30 diet DeChambeau is referring to is a 30-day plan that focuses on eliminating sugar, alcohol, grains and dairy. The new routine is a far cry from his peak hardcore bulking diet, which included drinking six to eight protein shakes a day. DeChambeau admitted he would not recommend this particular method to any golfer.”

This post sucks. It says “old” diet. What’s the new one?

For any knuckle heads reading into this to be a great diet, don't.

*Missed the part it said "Old Diet".
Which makes sense as to why its not a good diet.

The 4 protein shakes a day is insanely filling. Just doing that along with generally eating healthy will go a long way.

From looking at it, it looks like he had 6 shakes a day. I’m like you, 4 will fill you up. I can only imagine drinking 6.

He doesn’t eat all that shite and lose weight.

This is 3400 calories assuming a dry backed potato and 300 cals per protein shake, and not factoring “snacking”

I agree. The breakfast and lunch I could maybe see, but steak and potatoes for dinner all the time and two shakes? No way.

I can never really understand how any pro golfer can be fat. Considering all of the walking, especially in the heat that they do.

Have you seen how slow they walk? Oh and the breaks too. It’s basically a fat person exercise pace.

I was having a conversation with a family member when Bryson got big and I said that isn't muscle, that's just mainly fatty bulk.
Golf is not a game where bulk is beneficial. It's better to be long and lean.

everyone knew that him bulking up and swinging as hard as possible wasn't sustainable. Looks like he's come back to reality.
