Why do so many Saints fans show up so early?

it seems to me that every time there's a game in New Orleans, there are shots of the crowd
and there seemed to be a lot of them, and much earlier in their seats
than I see at other NFL venues

Beat the traffic???? Getting to that stadium located in downtown is a PITA, and leaving is even worse--------unless you leave before the game is over.

There are some many available routes out of downtown NOLA that are adjacent to the Superdome that you have to really try to get into post game traffic.
