ESPN/ABC tipped their hand in 2024. Would be shocked if LSU-Bama wasn't the night slot

[/img] Very similar to 2024 in that it had a 7-1 UGA going to face 7-2 Ole Miss in Oxford up against an LSU/Bama matchup with both teams having 2 losses. ABC rolled with LSU/Bama in the primetime slot since it was a de facto 12 team CFP elimination game
Also have to imagine Kiffin at LSU is an even bigger TV pull than BK was at LSU along with this game being a network dream for ratings for 20 years now. Be ready for the ensuing melt from non-LSU people but let's ride baws. One last dance with Bama as an annual opponent, only fitting we're going out under the lights

Seems pretty simple. Two top 5 rating brands in a “playoff” game.

I wouldn’t mind a 2:30 kick. Crowd wil still be very loud and we seem to play bama much better during the day

The computer rankings show this as a top 6 matchup. But pollsters only care about record.
Those who know ball realize it’s an elite matchup.

Tennessee UK is already set for night game, just not sure which one as your graphic shows.
It’s basically which of these two is night/vs 2:30
Bama at LSU
UGA vs Ole Miss
Both are great matchups and I am pretty sure UF/OU is the SEC Network Game.
UGA/Ole Miss makes the most sense for 2:30 game because of both teams traditions of playing day games.

One thing to consider is Notre Dame vs Miami is scheduled for 6:30 CT that night on NBC. Not sure how much that factors into ABC's decision making, but they might not want their biggest game to go head to head with a top 5 Notre Dame prime time game. Could lead to LSU vs Bama being in the afternoon where it will draw the largest audience.

Ole Miss losing helped. Had Ole Miss won, I think they would have seriously considered UGA/Ole Miss as the night game.
The ABC games will go Texas/Mizzou -> UGA/Ole Miss -> Bama/LSU. The other games will be on ESPN.

Notre Dame vs. Miami won’t compete with LSU vs Alabama in ratings. Especially with Lane Kiffin as the LSU coach

It won’t be a factor

Please let it be 2:30
Yeah, I find that we play well against Bama at 2:30 anyway even though our fans like night games better. They kick our asses at night time.

I think they will roll with Bama/LSU at 6:30pm ABC
OM/UGA 2:30 ABC
...also, I think UF pulls off the upset this weekend over UGA and cause even more SEC chaos

All evenly matched teams that weekend. Should be a great weekend of SEC Football.
