Was able to get a redemption for a flight in October. For those who have flown, do they live up to the hype? Only time I've flown with doors was in Club Suites this past March home from London and I thought they were kind of a gimmick. But these get rave reviews so wonder if it was just a BA thing vs Qatar

I've flown 16 legs for work in the Q's and its heavenly. I'm 6'5" and stretched out nicely on the lay flat. Food and cocktail/wine list is amazing. And if you layover in Doha, the pool and gym in the airport are incredible. As are the lounges.

Any long haul to Asia, I always request it. Even if flying from LA, which adds a few hours through Doha.

I’ve done Doha to LAX a few times …. Feels much shorter up front and don’t sleep on the gift bags they have ready in the suite

Probably the absolute best way to fly. Nothing really compares.

I did it from DOH to PHL, and the comfort and service are as advertised. Unfortunately, I picked the flight that had a big family in business class, with a newborn and twin 2-year-olds, so I didn't get to sleep very well.

10/10. I flew them ATL-DOH and DOH-DFW on the way back last year. The suite is spacious and the service was exemplary. The dine on demand is the real differentiator for me. On the 15 hour flight home I was able to have meals when I wanted, coursed out as I specified.

The Al Mourjan Lounge in DOH is also a fantastic experience. Go to the garden lounge if you have time. Lots of space, seating, and the attendants were everywhere. Even during the AM peak bank it felt busy but not crowded.

This. Awesomely uncrowded and full of goodies to eat and drink and relax.

I've done QSuites twice. It's very good but not life changing. Access to the lounge above is a big plus if you have the time on your connection.

A 9-hour layover? Guess what? You get a free hotel room.

Qatar Complimentary Transit Information

If you end up with time while it's open, everyone says that the Museum of Islamic Art is very impressive. I haven't been into the city myself, but I don't think that there's really all that much else to see or do—Doha isn't Dubai.

If only I wasn't self transferring that actually would have been clutch. Good to know that exists

I know they do "transfer tours" of Doha but was thinking of just like downloading an audio guide of the city, seeing the museum, or just walking into a hotel bar and getting a beer
