Headed here next week for a business trip. Any suggestions on food and/or things to do in the afternoon.
I plan to head to the beach and hike a few areas.

Go have lunch at Nelson's at the Terranea resort in Palos Verdes and then walk along the ocean cliff path. Stunning scenery.
Fishing with Dynamite is a great restaurant in Manhattan Beach.
El Gringo is a good local (not-fancy) Mexican place.
Good Stuff by the Hermosa Pier is a great breakfast place. Then you can walk along the strand and enjoy the scenery.
Enjoy! The South Bay is a fantastic place to visit.

Tony's at the Pier in the Crow's Nest has great views.
They have a "Famous" Mai Tai in a souvenir cup. It's pretty good drink and darn strong. They have an appetizer called Mozzarella Marinara that is really good fried round cheese.
That's all I have. When I lived in the Beach Cities, I frequented Hermosa and Manhattan more, but I always liked heading down to the pier. My SIL lives on the Redondo-Torrance line and my favorite thing to do down there is ride bikes along the strand and people watch and day drink.
