If my memory serves me correctly the migrant caravans happened from 2021 to 2024. I wonder why that happened?

Because Biden kept the borders open. My questions remain.
1. Why do they only show up just before election time?
2. If Trump has secured the southern border, why would this even be a story?

It is not a story or should not be. I will give you a guess why this is a story and price per barrel of oil is lower than what it was during previous admins but the price at the pump is much higher then back then. Political influence by both sides.

I think if people looked at the base rates it would look less manufactured as a caravan and would be better explained via media coverage in the context of election-year immigration politics.
