Skip LA and head to the South Bay.
Spend time between El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo. Great restaurants and bars in the area.
Spend a day a the beach, catch a comedy show in Redondo, rent bikes to ride the strand.

Griffith Observatory is good. If you have time drive up to the Reagan Library.

I lost my wallet there one time
If you like BBQ, Moo's is up there with any Texas spot. It's northeast of downtown.
A bunch of top tier breweries close to each other in Anaheim, if you feel like venturing. Monkish, Green Cheek, Bottle Logic, Everywhere.
Go to the beach.
Do a studio tour if you haven't before.

Dodgers could be in the World Series at this time. That's tough to beat if you are a baseball fan

Haters are always gonna hate. Been in L.A. for almost 15 years and its got something for literally everyone. What kind of stuff do you enjoy? I would avoid all of the standard tourist traps except for the Griffith Park Observatory. South Bay beaches are the best if you're looking to relax. Do you like stand-up? We've got the the best comedians in the world performing nightly at the Comedy Store, Improv, etc. What's your jam? That can help me make suggestions. The options are endless.

Balboa Island and Newport Beach are fun and interesting places.

I’ve got a 5 day solo trip coming up over Veterans Day. Staying around Beverly Hills/West Hollywood. Never been to LA before. Love nostalgia, so any old Hollywood experiences would be cool. Plan on hitting up the Rose Bowl flea mkt Sunday. Not much of a drinker, will have car.
