Enjoyed Compagno's Italian restaurant in Mandeville last night

New place with apparently 100 year old recipes handed down from grandfather

Good red sauce.

Lasagna and Veal Parmigiana were good

They used to be located where Vincent's on St Charles is.

I ate there years ago, like maybe early 90s.

Went to their website and looked at the menu. I don't even see Lasagna on the menu. Was it a special? And if so that's odd for a traditional Southern Italian red gravy restaurant.

A lot of people don’t realize, there was also a Compagnos on the corner of Magazine and State where Reginellis is now. We lived close and I remember eating there in the 70s. Could be that family?

I thought it was where Vincent’s is on St Charles.
