I started this 2 months ago along with lifting and some cardio. I went from
217 and weighted 195 this morning.

Seems like the first week was the toughest but seems to be the most consistent I’ve been in a while and I don’t have to restrict a lot of the foods I typically would need with crash dieting.

I do it by default just by skipping breakfast. For me it easier to control my hunger and total calories by eating 2 larger meals rather than 3 smaller ones and never feeling full.

Congrats on the weight loss and just do whatever makes it easy for YOU to maintain long term. Anything will work for the short term, but sustainability is what you want to not fall back into the old patterns.

I did 16/8 IF for a while, and it works well. My main issue was getting enough protein in during that limited window. In that case, protein shakes were my friend.

I was thinking of going back on it to break past a plateau I've been on.

i do when cutting, its my preferred natural way of eating and always has been even back to middle school. i have a very sensitive stomach and morning eating doesnt sit well with me normally.

nothing special about it though. you lost weight because you are eating less overall, not because fasting is some magic bullet.

I’ve done it so much in the past that now it’s just second nature. I typically go 16-18 hours without a real meal, I have done it strict but now I’m not worried about calories from a pre workout drink or anything like that. People can argue about this or that, but to me it’s still calories in and out. You can blow the whole day in one binge meal, but the longer you do it strictly the more your body will reject doing that. That’s my experience intermittent fasting.

Im down 40-50 pounds this year because of it.
I plan on losing 70 for the total year.

Its been helpful. But it is hard, but you get use to it.
Change my life.

Yeah, I used to buy into all the holistic arguments around metabolism and fasting and such when I first started like 15 years ago, but I just come down on it being an easier way to manage your caloriic intake these days. I still fast frequently, but I also find myself grabbing a protein shake or yogurt shake pretty often these days after a heavy weight-training morning. Of course, I'm also on tirz, so I'm more worried about actually successfully hitting my daily macros than caloric intake.

I think that I DO still buy into the multi-day fasts and ketosis for more holistic health benefits, but that's a separate discussion.

What sort of grown arse man struggles to get enough protein in, regardless of their eating window? Are you eating nothing but low test soyboy cuck foods?
