Needle Mulch Costs?

Chopped and/or crushed pine needle mulch makes a great weed-suppressing barrier that's easier to put down that regular pine straw, but the price in BTR is around $12 a bag now. Do any places sell in bulk or have better prices for large orders?

The crushed has always been crazy expensive. I paid like $50 for 4 bags two years ago and gave up on the stuff after that. Too pricey for the likes of me.

The real issue with crushed or chopped pine straw is the fact that it beaks down faster than regular straw due to the outer wax layer of the needle being stripped back. Crushed straw works well enough in pots and in between thick ground cover but regular pine straw lasts a lot longer

Not sure what you find so difficult about putting down regular pine straw, I find it much easier than bark mulch. Also easy to fluff with a rake when the color is gone.
