Not sure if it matters but I’m increasing my vitamins. Does it matter how I split them or what part of the day I take them?

Have been on:

B complex
K2+D3
Omega-3 Fish Oil

Want to add:

Boron
Zinc
Magnesium (possibly)

Good to know about zinc. I take it before bed when I take magnesium. I know this may be a dumb specific, but during eating or after done? Adding it with my multivitamin that I take when I’m eating dinner. When I take my omega3 and k2VitD.

As for boron I take it with my dinner too. Should I move it (how much) to my before bed ones like my mag? And how in the morning when I get up?

Sometimes on an empty stomach zinc can make you nauseous. I’ll actually throw up if I take it on an empty stomach.

Boron:
2, 3mg in morning when you wake up and 2, 3mg at night before bed. 12mg a day broken into two doses

If you have a good multi that you take twice a day along with protein sources you probably don’t need zinc. The recommended upper dose daily shouldn’t be more than 30-40 mg and if taken long term can skew copper levels.

Your fat soluble vitamins need to be taken with a fat source. So with a meal, or with a snack that includes fat like cheese, nuts, eggs, etc. These type supplements would include you Vitamin D and Vitamin K2 vitamins. If your Omega 3 sups are ethyl esters and instead of triglycerides, then it is better to have them with some fat as well.

B vitamins and the like are water soluble, so you should be able to take them whenever. But I usually take mine with my morning eggs and yogurt. Remember you multi-vitamin has a mixture of fat and water soluble vitamins and minerals. So probably best to take with a meal.

If you haven't figured out how to split them yet, take D3/K2 and Omega-3 with your largest meal for absorption, and B-complex in the morning so it won't mess with your sleep.

For the rest, it depends on the forms you have. I used to take Zinc and Mag separately, but Zinc on an empty stomach gave me awful nausea, and timing them so they didn't block each other's absorption was a headache. I switched to Performance Lab because they blend these core nutrients together without causing stomach upset. Now I just take that and do Magnesium before bed. Saves a lot of hassle.

Any reason for splitting boron up?
