As crazy as it sounds, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities that Dems are paying them more to back out and/or perform at their event(s).
None of these performers backing out are relevant in their current form and certainly need money and reentry into the public eye.

If they have become Progressive and no longer believe in the Constitutional Republic then they rightly should not perform in the Celebration of it. There is a new genre of artists out there with very spirited and patriotic songs that would be more inspirational and influential and one performance can make them. For the old ones like Springsteen who now abandon the very System which gave them extraordinarily affluent lives they can just stay home and pout. Or get up a Marxist Revolution ‘Celebration’ of their own.
