It'd be insanely stupid. Especially when LSU hasn't broken any rules. It'd open up more lawsuits the SEC would have to deal with, ESPN would re negotiate the tv deal to something less desirable for the SEC, the SEC would lose one of the strongest brands in the country, and it'd allow another conference to gain a top tier program. It's just baffling what the SEC is doing.

Liz Murrill had a good comment today with Moscona wondering how sankey is doing this legally according to conference bylaws. Are secret meetings even allowed?

LSU was here way before Sankey and they will be here long AFTER Sankey is gone.

There are a few AD's and Presidents in the league pushing him. We know that from all the "secret meeting" bullshite.

Ole Miss and Tennessee

Reminder: SEC presidents voted to dismiss the lawsuit

SEC lawyers wanted a joint statement with LSU admitting wrong-doing. Why? So the SEC could use that as a shield against the incoming lawsuit from Harris and Wright. "It wasn't us, it was LSU"

If I’m LSU, I’m preparing a very large defamation suit against the SEC. Going at a school who hasn’t broken rules when rules have been ignored by other schools. Trying to shine LSU in a negative light in the media for no reason should have consequences.

ESPN would re negotiate the tv deal

The SEC tv deal with ESPN is so bad for the SEC (thank you Greg Sankey) that ESPN may not want to renegotiate it. ????

They never were. Why Sankey keeps pushing that narrative is beyond silly.

The SEC needs to kick LSU out or STFU. I'm fine with either.

It’s the only leverage Sankey has. What else is he going to say? Fine us? That’s the only thing he can use to scare the university.
