The (LWFC) welcomes Duke Lowrie as its newest member!
Lowrie, a lifelong resident of Bossier Parish, is co-owner of Acadiana Mortgage of Louisiana Inc. and Acadiana Farms, where he actively operates a crawfish farm.
A dedicated conservationist and sportsman, Lowrie previously served as Chairman of the Northwest chapter of Delta Waterfowl. He also served as Executive Director of Flyway Federation USA, where he helped launch a national dialogue on the decline of migratory waterfowl populations and the impacts of unharvested flooded agricultural lands. "I grew up with a deep passion for Louisiana’s outdoors, blessed to witness skies darkened by migrating ducks each winter. I always looked forward to sharing that experience with my children — only to watch it diminish rapidly in a short span of years.
Like so many Louisiana hunters, I feel our natural resources slipping away and our identity as Sportsman’s Paradise at risk. God has blessed us with an extraordinary gift, one I cherish deeply and am committed to defending. I am grateful to Governor Landry for this opportunity to serve on the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission and to help ensure that future generations can enjoy the same rich hunting and fishing heritage that has defined our state."

Any appointment by Gov Landry to the LWFC should be met with significant skepticism.

He's a crawfish farmer. One of the main reasons we have no ducks. That should tell you enough.

I am very thankful to the crawfish farmer that supplies me my ducks.

Right there in my post

From LDWF website:

Acadiana Farms, where he actively operates a crawfish farm. Louisiana has over 300,000 acres of "dedicated crawfish ponds"
