1st time in Death Valley!

My son, a friend and I are coming down for the Clemson game. First time at LSU. We’ll be getting into town late Thursday. Any must do’s Friday or Saturday? We are super excited about a night game!

I would honestly do Friday in New Orleans. Baton Rouge is great for a weekend but I’m not sure there’s enough to justify a three day weekend.

Chimes on campus for some duck and andouille gumbo and fried alligator. I'll let others contribute, you'll get lots of great recommendations. Just to be sure to be in your seats 15 or 20 minutes before kickoff. The four note Stadium salute is Iconic and it is going to be lit for kiffin's first game. Done right and it has the potential to be a core memory for all of you. Stay safe, take it all in, enjoy.

Obviously cheering for LSU. We are coming from Oklahoma. My son and I are Ostate fans. Unfortunately our friend is OU, but we overlook that deficiency ??

Head to NOLA on Friday. Leave early, stop by the Coffee House in Sorrento for beignets and coffee (it's approx 30 or so miles from BR, located right off I-10, on your way to NO. Has a nice little cajun village surrounding it that you might find interesting).
Not sure of your interest, so I'll let Google help you out with what to do and see in NO. The French Quarter has a plethora of sites to see, or you can head uptown towards Magazine St. Plenty of bars and places to eat. I'd cap it off with Cafe du Monde for more beignets and coffee, and start my drive back to BR for an early night. Saturday will be a long day.....save your "bad head" for Sunday morning.

It's not the old Death Valley anymore. The stadium is only half full by the 3rd quarter and just a quarter full by the 4th. LSU is often praised for its incredible atmosphere, yet many fans leave after halftime. In contrast, fans at other stadiums like Texas A&M, Bryant-Denny, OSU, Tennessee, and others typically stay until the end and don’t rush out to beat the traffic.
