I’ve read on here about the piped in music and witnessed first hand yesterday….not a big fan of it and I know nothing I can do about it but it really has changed the experience to where it’s not like a football game anymore

The DJ and new announcer have crippled Tiger stadium. They both need to be fired immediately.

I love how we call it “piped-in” music when it’s just music being played, like as if we’re gonna be the only stadium in the world that doesn’t do that. It did have a charm 30 years ago, but it’s so funny people bring this up all the time

A lot of times people complain about the DJ playing over the band and I just haven’t seen it that much. But that jackass played over the band all game long yesterday. He thought he had to blare crap between every defensive play even though the band plays sometimes. After a td he thought he was the show and started playing music while the band was playing the usual post touchdown routine.

I will be sending an email this week to LSU admin about the DJ.

Yes, it's bad, but not nearly as bad as it is at some other schools. Talk to anyone who went to the Kentucky game in Lexington, or the Ole Miss game in Oxford. That experience was more like a rave than a football game, with the nonstop blasting music and flashing lights. Apparently LSU has a person whose sole responsibility is the football gameday experience. Maybe he/she is the person to contact.

I’d love to see an audit of LSU’s books and see how much money they waste on stupid shite like the Tiger Stadium DJ. The Rant could fix the books by cutting all the waste.

A term comes to mind “let it breathe”. The DJ never lets the crowd do their own thing.

When is the last time y’all have heard an “L-S-U” chant in Tiger Stadium? Every time the student section tries to start one the DJ starts blaring music and drowns them out.

Football games should have music from bands only.

I find myself turning down tickets no longer wanting to be part of the "experience." It's not football. Just obnoxious.

I asked this in another thread but I'm hoping someone here has some perspective:

I’ve been hearing BYU in game experience being praised by several of these YouTube types that travel the country to a big game each week. I have never really paid attention to a BYU game but last night seemed like a really good example of what I’ve been hearing. The band sounded great and seems they had several different quick hitter songs throughout the game. The piped in music also sounded great and it didn’t seem over bearing to where it actually engaged the crowd instead of drown it out. Granted this was a huge game for them and I only had a TV view. Tiger Stadium also looks amazing on TV for a big game but it did seem the quality and rhythm of the band/music was cleaner for BYU. Anyone attend the Ole Miss game this year because the word is they took after the BYU model

Like I said… it’s a football game in 2026.
Does it suck? Yes
is it a football game? Obviously

It’s just not as good as it used to be

I tried to google the DJ's playlist and this is the best I could come up with. I'd say at least half these songs need to be replaced. For starters, Mr. Brightside, Sweet Caroline, Seven Nation Army, and All I do is Win. - those are generic stadium anthems and not unique to LSU. Also, "I'm from Louisiana" sounds HORRIBLE over the speakers. Some songs weren't meant to be blared from a PA.

• "Callin' Baton Rouge" – Garth Brooks
• "Mr. Brightside" – The Killers
• "Swag Surfin'" – F.L.Y.
• "Wipe Me Down" – Lil Boosie
• "Set It Off" – Lil Boosie
• "Louisiana Saturday Night" – Mel McDaniel
• "Choppa Style" – Choppa
• "Back That Azz Up" – Juvenile
• "Get the Gat" – Lil Elt
• "I'm From Louisiana" – Louisiana Ca$h
• "Loose as a Goose" – Boosie Badazz
• "Neck" – Cameo / LSU Band Version
• "Seven Nation Army" – The White Stripes
• "Sweet Caroline" – Neil Diamond
• "We Ready" – Archie Eversole
• "Eye of the Tiger" – Survivor
• "All I Do Is Win" – DJ Khaled

DJ playing over the band

I don’t have a problem with a DJ, but they should never play over the band.

Sometimes, the “good ole days” really lived up to the name. I haven’t been to the stadium in years for reasons beyond my control. I don’t know how
the music and DJ affect the experience, but it doesn’t sound promising to me…

I am for both... could be better balance....But let's be honest has playing "Hey Baby" ever gotten any crowd fired up for a 4th down stop?
