This isn't the first time it's rained heavily against McNeese...

I remember about a decade ago the Cowboys took the drive down I-10 into Baton Rouge only to get turned around and the game cancelled. Hopefully that isn't the case again this weekend and they let the boys play. Any thoughts on if that'll happen again?

WAFB weatherman is backing off on it a little

Weekend rain totals trending lower away from the coast. Elevated rain chances remain, but may not be a total washout.

It'll happen again if it is lightning, and doesn't stop lightning. Doesn't have much of anything to do with the rain.

Trying to predict Baton Rouge weather on a Wednesday before a Saturday night football game is a fool’s errand.

Correct...and our LSU admins. had ZERO contingency plans for this ! HOW is that possible ?? McNeese certainly was NOT going to return to Lake Charles that nite...why not have a plan of some sorts to play on Sun. ? I hope we now have some capable people who might be able to think ahead a bit...are you listening Verge ??

Hell, trying to predict Baton Rouge weather on a Sat. at 1 PM before a Sat at 7 PM football game could be a fools errand.

I remember true freshman Donte Jackson got a jet sweep in the very short time that the game lasted. I don't believe he ever got in on offense after that.

The chance of rain is never. Ball will be played.

Do you not understand the logistical differences between putting on a football and baseball game at LSU?

Why don't you tell us what your great contingency plan would be, so we can get a good laugh.

Sept 5, 2015... I'll never forget that game. My whole family was soaked by the time we got back to the car.

I was at that one. They delayed it for quite a bit, then cancelled. I was pissed.

If that game is played Fournette ends this season with over 2000 rushing yards…

Was at that game. Miserable experience. But the tailgate was awesome.

Because it makes more sense to cancel this game than playing on Sunday.

Then humor us and give us a few of your plans on how you would make it work.

Incorrect. McNeese buses in and buses back home after the game. Maximizes their check for coming. That one game check makes up 5% of the annual revenue for their athletic department.
