At this point the split may be inevitable from LSU’s perspective

With all that has and is transpiring, how can there be any reasonable expectation that there won’t be negative bias from the league while LSU is competing against an in conference school?

There is no way they can trust the SEC to provide them with fair officiating and equal trust given the continuous lawsuits and outright hatred shown by the league’s highest figure.

We need to move on from the SEC. It’s time.

I agree
When it comes time for selection process for football playoffs you can bet Sankey will tell them to take another SEC team over LSU

Nothing is going to happen. Y'all and the SEC offices will eventually stop hyperventilating with the excitement of this soap opera and things will continue on.

At this point it is either LSU or Sankey. I can't see how the SEC can keep both.

I would hope that other schools would look at how much revenue LSU brings in for them and then looks at how much Sankey has fallen behind the Big 10.

This is what I thought. You had an easy out for everyone after this weekend.

LSU compromised and obeyed the SEC rules, the SEC just took this too far.

Not so sure this will blow over now.

LSU basically said, "Fine. You win. We won't put them on the roster."

And then the conference doubles down and wants to kick LSU out. What the frick do they even want?

This.

I’m done with the SEC forever.

It’s a dying conference that will be dead in 2 to 3 seasons. LSU needs to get out immediately.

I’m getting murderred on r/CFB for asking that very question.

“LSU is definitely gonna back down now…”

“FROM WHAT?!”

LSU leaving the SEC isn’t something that can just happen overnight. This is much larger than football. Think of all the other sports.

Who would LSU gymnastics play or some other random sport? I imagine title 9 would have something to say too

The sad thing is that the other universities seem to be very quick to turn on LSU, based on such a bullshite reason. I don't see how LSU continues under Sankey's leadership. This feels personal. How can LSU just look the other way after being maligned so egregiously?

We just have to go out and beat the shite out of everybody so badly that there’s nothing the refs or the SEC headquarters can fricking do about it just like the other night. I’m sure those refs were ready to go and give Clemson and all the favors but we just didn’t give them the opportunity. That’s what we have to do every game.

Why do people keep saying this? We left 2 spots open on the roster and the players are enrolled.

I think we'll activate them when the time is wright

If the officiating gets egregious to the point of game-fixing, I assume that could blow back on individuals and institutions if it were challenged. There’s a lot of money involved and what the SEC might think of as punishing LSU, the gambling world might see as sports fraud
