For me, gas is affordable. I don't drive much. There's no nukes coming for HSV from Iran (or even Russia). Why the fuss, people?

This is how we lose elections. Not everyone is wealthy, retired or has short commutes. There are working class people suffering. To act like they don't matter is how we lose the house and the senate.

For higher gas prices not to affect you, you would have to not consume/purchase any goods and live on off-grid power

That being said, one of my trucks is a diesel, and DEF pisses me off more than the current gas prices

DEF is a hidden tax on all consumers, too. Freight would be a lot cheaper without it, but no Dem has ever bitched about Obama's EPA shoving it down our throats

Why is it that y'all can understand that about gas prices, but not tariffs?

To them, Dems are good people and all that extra legislation and taxes is worth it to "save our planet".

That's fine but it's all worth it to me to 1) Have no Iranian nukes and 2) Shove our fist straight down Iran's throats.

I'm enjoying that last part the most. Frick dem

Nah, I thought that was fun. But the 444 days of humiliation for America sure did not set so well with patriots

Upvote for the album cover.

Gas prices don't bother me. Won't ever see me complain. I have never, ever, in my life, actually looked at the price. No matter what the price is, it is still the best deal going when you look at how difficult it is to produce. Besides, I drive 14000/year and do not pay for my gas. I haven't paid in over 20 years.

Iran only worries me because of optics. Coupled with domestic issues, we are beginning to look like an empire in decline.

Maybe the sunseers are right. This is all 5d chess. In my experience, our government can't even play checkers.

Honestly hope many of you guys are right with how you see this turning out. If you are, drinks are on me as I eat my crow.

One is not like the other and you know it.

Gas price hikes are an immediate jump across all goods.

Tariffs are selective and mostly on wants vs needs. Tariffs have a better shot of being absorbed by the importer to stay competitive than gas price hikes do

If you aren't trolling don't be surprised when the average person votes in commie leftists. They take over our country then we'll all be poor.

Same.

If someone can't afford gas, you are really hurting. You should take mass transportation or at least move to an area that can provide that for you. Maybe give up eating out, internet subscriptions, mobile phone (do you really need an iphone?) and smokes

I get the concern but imo, we either are in decline or we are not, no matter what kind of vibe we put off.

Who knows how things will go? I tend to think we are in decline and Trump is just slowing it down just a little bit. Another republican will speed things up a little and dems will send it warp-speed.

Enjoy this 250th anniversary

What do you want me to do? I can't stop anyone from voting how they wish to vote.

I’d drive a Tesla I don’t give a single thought about gas prices. It’s wonderful.

That’s a bold prescription for a lot of people whose shoes you’ve never walked in.

bullshite. We lose election because people elect losers like Thune who don’t do shite when in the majority. Then voters see that, get discouraged and stay home.

If there is a bloodbath in November it won’t be over gas prices (which will be back down by then) it’ll be because of a lack of fight in most GOP politicians.

How do you know I haven't?

I have and I made damn sure I was never in that position ever again. You can do the same if you choose to do so.
