Who would you grayshirt out of 2010 class to reach the 28 limit? First is it correct that you can only grayshirt 3 per class?

Bates is already a grayshirt so thats one.
Blackman lacks grades so he will probably have to be dropped.

Wing has agreed to grayshirt if needed.

Who is the other player you would grayshirt and why?

Fordham. We have 4 inc o-lineman, minus him will be 3. We had a big class last year of o-line and the year before that. We'll be ok.

That might be true...so we Wing and that is it. That is if everyone qualifies, which probably won't happen.

Correct...Bates is NOT a Greyshirt...is now a walk on and does not count as a scholarship player or Greyshirt!

How many times do we have to go through this?

Washington was enrolled in the spring, thus counts toward the 2009 class.

We only have 26 that actually count towards the 25 so that means either 1 non qualifier or 1 grayshirt.Blackmon,Bates and Adams(could be Washington/depends on who is actually being counted back) are the 3 that don't count towards the 25.The more important # is the 6 that we are over for the 85.I wonder who those guys are.

Bates is not a grayshirt and will not be a grayshirt. Also, he has not signed his LOI.

I wouldn't have offered Fordham, Welter and Blackmon so this wouldn't be a problem.

27 players signed, including the 2 already enrolled. Bates to walk-on so no problem there (thank you Bates). Blackmon not likely to make it to campus, he may go JUCO route.

Not sure where we stand on the 85 limit?

Where is all this fail coming from?

You have to have room in 85/25 for 2009 for this to be true.

The GS should be considered with what/who our needs are for next year.

Thank you for understanding how this works. Nobody on here seems to understand the 85/25 and that we signed 24 last year..So Either Washington or Adams (who im not sure is enrolled currently), is backcounted. So we are Technically at 26.

If all qualify as expected now, Wing has agreed to Grayshirt. If he receives his scholarship he will count towards the class of 11. (since we signed 25)

Bates, will-walk on during the season, therefore he's not a grayshirt, he's a "walk-on" If a scholarship happens to open in spring semester of 11, he will receive a scholarship but it will count towards class of 11. However, im not sure if thats been guarenteed to him. Either way He will count towards the Class of 11 because we signed 25 in 10

Hope this clears everything up.

Not everything - does 25 get us to 85 exactly?

Or...IF QB/Pitcher Ryan Lee signs an MLB contract, Bates could recieve Lee's 2010 scholarship.
