If someone says yes, will he be attacked by everyone asking how much they "donated" to know that information. I believe some coaches committee members have seen it.

I'd think it would be Mitchell at 2 and Schimpf back in the 9 hole like last year.

That's a beautiful first 5 lineup....exactly how I hoped. Landry will only get better with the bat and has blazing speed. Schimpf handles the bat extremely well...and bats lefty (important for 2 hole) and also has some speed and pop in his bat. Schimpf is the perfect 2 hole hitter IMO.

Then Dean, Gibbs, and DJ is just sick.

Im guessing the other 4 in order will be CJ, Ochinko, Helenihi, and J. mitch. This of course is if CJ is still knocking the cover off the ball.

Im coming to Tigertown for the opening weekend against Nova...cant wait...

We are loaded with left-handed bats. Nice to have Gibbs in there behind Dean again switching.

The only shortcoming I can see is a lack of power on this team. Unless Ochinko and Gibbs can demonstrate the ability to go yard only Dean is a bonafide HR threat.

Ya...I look for Gibbs to have a monster year at the plate. He's already one of the best in the country on defense. He will improve his power numbers big time...

PM has always stated he wants a balanced team. And that's exactly what we have. We have speed and power. Schimpf, Dean, Gibbs, Cj, and Ochinko will all hit for power IMO. DJ will surprise us with some power this year I believe.

The defense is gonna be very very strong also.

Starting pitching is the only question mark, and we have 3 soph studs taking the mound. Im comfortable with that.

I agree balance should be the goal in a lineup. Just wish we had another 20-25 HR hitter in there along with Dean.

isnt mitchell expected to be done with football because he is expected to be drafted fairly high, not to many 9 hitters get drafted that high

PM thinks Mitchell could be a first rounder.

An extra 7 or 8 homers from one of the other guys would be great...and sexy (chicks dig the long ball), but with good BA's, good base running and speed, singles turn into doubles, doubles turn into triples and thus lots of runs score. Dont worry about the power numbers...the offense is gonna be just fine.

But if we can get an extra 4-5 bombs from guys like Ochinko, Landry, Lamahiu, etc. it will make up for that total from last year.
