I love Tech going to the light blue jersey’s. This is what their basketball teams used to wear in the 80’s and 90’s. I hope they stick with this look.

I think they got a pretty good coaching staff, I know they played some trash first game but what they do is kinda impressive. We gonna crush them but I think they gonna end up with a pretty descent season for them. I really like it as a tune up game for ole Miss.

It's interesting seeing these uplifting comments about Tech. I'm in the same boat. I hold no ill will against them, and I went to LSU. But their fans HATE LSU. I don't get it.

I went to Tech. Some of the older fans fs and the folks who go there from Ar-Kansas. A lot of kids there now are from South Louisiana. Not as much ill will now with the younger guys. Can’t say the same for the tards in Laffy. I’ll be happy with tech getting a touchdown honestly

I went to Tech and wore my LSU gear a lot. Had issues with a few professors over it too. I really don’t get the hate except the natural inclination to hate the big fish when you’re a small fish

I think ULL has to be the most universally disliked team in the state. LSU fans dislike them for their "little brother" routine, ULM and McNeese people straight up hate them, and I am starting to see where Tech people do, also.

Carter Bryant lost his ever loving mind when the two players that attended mini camp weren’t allowed to play for LSU. He was overly pissed. Pressed that issue very hard for weeks ad nauseam. Said he lost subscribers over it.

They are one of Tech’s biggest rivals behind ULM and USM. They like to think all the other smaller schools in the state are beneath them. Cocky for no reason

Have they ever been in the same conference (Tech and ULL). The only one I seem to remember was some little conference in the 80's called the American South or something? I only recall it because the Lady Techsters use to beat USL by like 90 points every time they played.

Most people I know the are Tech alumni and go to their games support LSU or some other larger university as well. I think the overwhelming majority of their fan base understand they are not some national brand in collegiate sports. They don’t expect to win. They do love going to BR to play. They played Miss State a few years ago and the fans were horrible to the La Tech people.

Think they were in the sun belt together in the 90s up until 2001 when Tech left for the WAC (still never understood why they did that)

I never understood students repping swag from other schools. When I was at LSU, I couldn’t shake a stick without hitting someone in Notre Dame gear.

It’s like…if you like some other school so much better than the one that admitted you and is going to give you a degree, maybe you should be at that other school.

I get it.

Folks start loving a sports team long before they choose a college.

They (Tech and USL) were in the old Southland together for many years when I was a kid. USL and Tech still hate one another.

I grew up going to Tech sporting events. Both my parents and my three older siblings went there, but I never wanted to go anywhere other than LSU and ended up there.

My folks were close to the football program for a lot of years, and when I was a kid, I never heard anything bad about LSU. That seemed to change during my time at LSU in the late 80's and seemed to grow even more into the 90's when Tech was somewhat ascendant as a mid-major and won a few games here and there against traditional powers but never played LSU. That was a source of friction and envy and there was the perpetual "they won't play us because they know we will beat them" feeling amongst their followers. Those years were when Tech was at its Zenith and LSU at its Nadir, and of course there still was a talent gap, but you know how the little brother syndrome works.

I still have a little closet hate for them for all the smack I heard during our wilderness years, but I try to set it aside. For this game, I hope no one gets hurt but we are on them like a Hobo on a Ham Sammich, as the Junior Senator from Louisiana is fond of saying. Lane has a habit of burying weaker opponents, and I want to see a Tiger cover.

I remember the old Gulf States Conference back in the 40s - 70s. It was basically made up of all the Louisiana directional schools plus McNeese. LA Tech and Louisiana College.
