Is this the scenario we want?

LSU wins out. Pretty sure that alone gets us in, but...
Do we want Kentucky and UGA to win out as well? This gets a solid 3 teams in from the SEC, leaves us without having to worry about the SECcg, and might get us a boost anyway if Kentucky pulls an upset. That might move us from the "do we get in" conversation to "do we host"?
Open to ideas.

We would be top 6 in that case.

I think if LSU finishes 3rd in the SEC, they are a top 8 seed.

Yes we win out. That’s all we can control. Everything else is noise.

No I’d rather see us play in SEC CG. Either way we are in the CFP

The key is avoiding another loss ourselves, though. A strong finish matters more than relying on other teams to create room for us.

I would think we want ND to lose, maybe multiple times. That would free up a spot. I think LSU gets in anyway with two losses and probably 3, but that couldn't hurt.

I would love to rub Sankey's nose in handing that trophy to Lane, but no thanks on playing a game on turf that doesn't get you much in the long term.

I always root for ND to lose, so no problem there, but I am back and forth on trying to find the best scenario for LSU vs wanting to pull for total chaos and carnage and watching the whole thing burn. For example, don't know if it's better for Florida and Tennessee to beat Kentucky or for Kentucky to beat them.

If we go 10-2, we’re in and I just as well watch two other teams play in the SECCG.

We win out. Any Ole Piss has to vacate wins for playing a QB not cleared by the NCAA.

and isn’t looking more than 1 more game because they scheduled a 2 game season.

Must be nice

Maybe, but it would affect our seeding in the CFP
