Enjoying it so far… definitely a different pace than most shooters but I’m really liking this game

Hell yeah baw. Got the Vietnam rock playlist going and the chopper mgs singing the song of freedom to the talking trees.

is it crossplay? have a buddy on xbox that wants to play and i could get it on xbox but i'd rather play on pc

supposedly its terrible on console. id only get it for PC. played the beta and didn't enjoy it on ps5

I’m having fun. Ps5 pro tho. There are some graphic issues on some maps with lighting and the leaves in the distance, but it’s a fun game.
Chopper gunner into a hot lz or front gunner on the boats doing gun runs have been a blast.
Working on unlocking the flamethrower so I can melt commies

I’m on Xbox.. I can see there are a couple of issues with the game but I really do enjoy the overall concept of it. I’m still terrible at it but I’ve found that when playing with multiple people in a squad who are engaged in the game, it can be so much fun.

Bought it yesterday. As a battlefield player, I'm really liking hll vietnam. Completely different game. This is the first hll I play, so tons of learning to do, but so far I'm enjoying it. It's more relaxed and more tense than battlefield at the same time.
It's really nice when you have a solid leader and they communicate. Currently I'm running as medic if I can or rifleman. I don't understand the rest of the roles yet.

If you actually revive people, you will quickly make friends. If you are looking for less stress, play what you are and maybe add in machine gunner. Stay away from engineer, anti tank, or support roles. I would move into anti tank or support next. Save engineer and squad lead for the last standard squad roles.

I’m really frustrated with people creating a squad of two and then locking the squad.
Getting to a squad where I can pick my role is much harder in Vietnam than in WW2. So far, I’ve pretty much only played grenadier and squad lead.
The one time I actually got to be a machine gunner, I got kicked from the squad so “his friend could be that role,”
I was so mad.

It shouldn't be so difficult to join a server with your party. Typical flow: Add friend to party, Join server, Mic cuts out to them, join a unit, text them and tell them which one you're in, unit is full, jump to another unit with 2 open spots to find out that 1 of those spots is already full.
FFS Team 17, it's not an outlandish request that people have friends they would like to be in the same unit as.
The locked squads are annoying, but it seems like that's the only way to guarantee the people in your party are in your unit.
Mid-game yesterday my medic buddy was removed so the unit leaders friend could join. I ended up leaving that unit for another mid game.
Other than that, I'm having a blast with this game. Running great on PC (had a few crashes on opening the game, but no issues once the game is launched.)

I haven’t been able to get into a good squad with mics yet. Lots of dying and not even seeing the enemy.

I'll hop in a squad and made call outs and ping enemies but hear nothing from squad mates. It seems like folks are just spawning in and running towards action like its COD.
