Santa Maria and Webb. For how big BR is, its sad there arent any other options. Driving to Zachary is god awful. Todd Graves or Gordan Mckernan have failed Baton Rouge. They are wealthy. They have the power. Baton Rouge needs to MakePublicGolfGreatAgain
[Even though its never been great]

Maybe bulldoze all the crime infested neighborhoods around north Baton rouge and build there. Or tear down all those trees on burbank and build there.

I will say it and go to my grave saying it. LSU golf course needs to be turned into a 9 hole par 3 course and hangout area (food, breweries, etc) all surrounding the new PMAC.

Give it some time. Martin Luthier Kiffin will make great golf accessible to everyone regardless of race and socioeconomical status.

Today, the BR ragarou baseball team had a golf tournament in Plaquemine, at the Island. Its actually a pretty decent golf course.. But its a 30 mins drive from BR.. The ferry isn't a bad option if you live within a reasonable driving distance from it, but there are a lot of companies. That are in BR that hold tournaments there. Might be an option for you

It is amazing how few golf courses there are in Baton Rouge period. I only saw about 3 courses the entire time I lived in Baton Rouge. There are no less than 14 courses less than 10 miles away from my house in the Greystone area of Birmingham.

It's Louisiana man. In Colorado you can walk 9 holes on good public courses for $15.

Not public, my comment was highlighting the overall lack of public or private courses in Baton Rouge. Being the capital and having so much industry, one would think there would be a lot of golf playing by politicians, industry managers, and sales people.

Santa Maria and Webb

Neither of these are as good as people make them out to be. Webb is absolute shite and Santa Maria is overcrowded with entitled dickheads who are too impatient. City Park is about to be changed forever and when that happens, it’s gonna get way worse.

Louisiana is poor and Baton Rouge is even poorer. Golf isn’t a sport for poor people
