Baseball Coach’s Committee meeting

First meeting this fall was well attended and informative. Met six new players, three freshmen: Lucas Nawrocki, Braxton Beaty, Dominic Santarelli and three transfers: Jason Wachs, Cade Curland and Landon Hood.
Coach Johnson talked about rule changes for the 2027 season including the use of ABS system for challenging ball/strike calls in all games. Other potential changes discussed were the increase in base size and limiting pickoff throws to two which are not in effect for the upcoming season.
All fall scrimmages will be on the same schedule every weekend: Thursday at 6:00, Friday at 6:00 and Sunday at 4:00. The first scrimmage will be October 8.
I hope to see you baseball fans at the Box this fall, there should be very competitive games this year.
