Would you say he is a strong candidate for the job?

Thought South Carolina would pursue him for DC.

Can he please just replace Grantham?

yes, Strong is a good guy, but this is quite a low position for a guy who was formerly a top DC and then was a HC at 3 schools.

He is staying on that UT buyout! If he makes over a certain amount the contract is voided. That is why he coached at USF for 500k a year. I do believe this is the last year of the UT buyout.

I’m a big Charlie Strong fan. Seems like a man of integrity and everyone in Louisville seems to have loved him.

makes you wonder why he'd want to coach under Mullen

Man of integrity? This is a guy at Louisville who had Clint Hurtt paying recruits, buying them jewelry and taking them to strip clubs

Name a coach who doesn't pay recruits. Stop being naive.

I remember the Tejas boosters demanding the right to tell him how to coach. They wanted to decide who plays, and what plays were run. WTF?

No one could deny he’s got a strong resumé.
