Will be in the Austin area next week. We're staying at an Airbnb out near Jester King Brewery. Anybody have any experience with Ubers out in this area. We'll probably spend a day visiting all of the breweries and wineries in the area like Jester King, Treaty Oak, Argus Cidery, and Last Stand. Hoping to not have to drive around drunk to all of these places. Is it fairly easy to get an Uber or other transportation out in that area?

Jester King is a good ways out there...I wouldn't think the Uber game would be to strong.

Didn’t Uber and Lyft leave Austin? Or are they back now?

They're back as of a couple months ago.

Look at myprivatedriver.com or dryver.com. Probably fits what you are looking for.

Uber and Lyft are back, but in my experience RideAustin has been a little cheaper than Uber and better cars than lyft.

I used Uber in Austin a couple of years back and it was great.

FYI Revolution Spirits distillery is also in this same office park, same parking lot as Last Stand. Try the coffee and chocolate liquor.

I would say rent a limo or shuttle if you have a group and are planning that many stops. Unfortunately for you, F1 is this weekend and everything is probably going to be 2x-3x normal rates. You can probably get an Uber out there as there are surely drivers who live out that direction but I wouldn't want to rely on it.

No.

And with F1 this weekend, you will be doubly fricked.

Rent a car and designate a driver...

You're right but I'm definitely not a millennial.

What else will y'all be doing? Those places might take one day to do, and then what? Y'all should get a place closer to town.

Honestly we will just be kinda taking it easy. Which is why we chose to stay out that way this time. Might ride into the city for dinner a couple of nights but that's about it. We will probably spend the majority of our time out in that area we are staying in.

Lyft/Uber will get you, but you'll be waiting anywhere between 10-20 minutes after it's accepted by the driver.

I could...and do spend several hours just at JK. I've looked at Uber from Austin to JK and it was like $70 so I drove.
