Tight connection at IAH

Our incoming flight into IAH from LCH lands at 7:10 PM and we have an international flight taking off at 8:15. Is that too tight a window to make that work or should I look at other flight options?

1 hour connection is more than fine

I loathe evening flights given what could happen throughout the day causing delays. Been burned too many times on late afternoon and evening flights getting impacted by earlier flight schedules.
That being said, you “should” be fine. I would start monitoring the inbound flight status as well as that flights inbound plane in the morning.

United only offers afternoon flights from IAH on that route.

You should be fine, just realize the international flight will start boarding 5-10 minutes after you land, and probably before you are off your flight. Do not dally, though, assuming you'll have to take the train from A to E. No stops for a caramel frappe with extra whip until you get to E, at least.

We had a 49 min window landing in Charlotte before boarding an international flight. We made it before boarding commenced. However, we only had to walk to the neighboring terminal, it wasn't a long walk.

If your flights are on the same airline, then it's fine.

You should be ok, but doubt you will make the start of boarding. If a regional plane, you are prob going into terminal A since B is down for construction and rare for regionals to go into C.
International flight, you're prob going out of D or E.
You'll have to take the sky train. Prob looking at a 20-25m connection time doing A to D/E. As long as you don't get stuck sitting on the runway waiting to park, as can occasionally happen at IAH, you will be fine.

An hour is definitely enough time at IAH. It's not CLT or ATL.

I mean why the connecting flight? Thats like a 2.5h drive. Take your own car with your own music and drive to IAH, allowing you as much or little time as you need. It's not like you're in from Wichita or El Paso to connect, where flying saves serious time over driving to IAH.
Also when you get home you don't have to worry about a connecting flight, just get in your car and go.

Is that a fact?

will probably be fine. i always like to know other routes i could take if something were to happen. how else could you get to your international destination with the least amount of lost time if that connection doesn't work, or your flight into IAH is delayed for any reason? Have that info handy in case you need to make a call to the airline for changes and enjoy your trip.
