Wife and I (no pics) will be taking a weekend trip to Omaha in October. Any ideas of things we should do? I do plan to make my way to New Rosenblatt and figure out my way around that area. Getting prepared for the Tigers to make the trip next summer. Thanks!

Maybe you should’ve researched a little before deciding to book a trip?

The downtown walking market is pretty fun.

They have a top 5 zoo in the country. Maybe #2 behind San Diego.

CWS park.

You’re right and that’s on me for posting to the wrong board. I don’t venture much pas the Rant and the OT and occasional poli board and forgot there was a travel board. My bad.

Wicker Rabbit for a drink.
Dinner at 801 Chophouse.

Go back to Ankeny and eat at the Leaning Tower of Pizza then get a beer at the Yankee Clipper.

Eat at the Stuckey’s by the interstate! That’s always fun.

Omaha is a nice, underrated town. Same with Lincoln. You've got casinos across the river in Iowa if that's your thing.
Omaha has a nice Zoo and Aquarium, Riverfront District, and Old Market District. The Durham Museum may be worth checking out. Lincoln is about a hour or so southwest. Haymarket District is nice, Nebraska may have football game which could be fun.

Eat runzas, get breakfast at Saddle Creek, and a lot of beef.

Go to the site of the old Rosenblatt and envision where Warren Morris' home run went over the fence.

Go to the zoo where the gorillas are stars of the show. Old Rosenblatt is in the parking lot. Park by the foul poles

What’s the appeal of Runzas .. I tried it and the meat was bland and the bread was soft and doughy. If the bread had a better texture it might be edible. Maybe I’ll try it again.
