Tons of breweries- burial, wicked weed, green man, etc....good food at white duck taco, mayfels, lobster trap....depends what you’re in mood for. Take a drive on Blueridge parkway is nice as well.

Triple Falls and Looking Glass are something to see for sure, and fun little hiking trails. Nothing very difficult but fun stuff
Taking a drive up the parkway to Mt Mitchell is a must of course.
Breweries, Breweries, Breweries ALL DAY... And bad arse restaurants as well. That will eat up as much time as you want to eat up. Hillman Brewery is a great lunch spot, as is Wicked Weed.

Lots of good info already posted, if you are going between Memorial Day and Labor Day you can do a float down the French Broad River (with a cooler if you wish). I recommend doing the section south of town because the river is wider and has better scenery.
Mt Pisgah is a good hike, after the hike you can stop at Skinny Dip Falls off the parkway and cool off

The pinball museum is a lot of fun. One fee ($15?) and you can play all you like. They serve beer there and keep a cap on the number of people they allow inside- on the weekends there can be a long wait to get in however but you give them your phone number and they will call you when your spot comes open. They also have a lot of retro video games from the 80s.
McCormick Field is the home of the A ball Asheville Tourists, and is a very picturesque retro ball park. Babe Ruth once played there.
People rave about Biscuit Head but I’ve never been.
Highland Brewery is on the edge of town and they have upped their game of late.

Yeah but you go with great weather and you can have a great time with some good food, decent beer, and fantastic facility.

The Chocolate Fetish is just a few blocks away, near Pritchard Park (the small triangle park ). Another option for chocolate.
Last year we did the rooftop tour at Biltmore; cost extra but it was worth it. They take you to the upper floors and onto walkways on the roof.
Definitely check out Grove Park Inn.
