Holy hell, what an experience down in the tunnels between concourses.

I know exactly what you mean! I’ve been through Atlanta during the winter and it feels like they’ve got the heat blasting non-stop inside. It’s crazy because you’re coming from the cold, and then you walk in there and it’s like a sauna. I’ve had to step outside just to get a breather a few times. It’s definitely not the most comfortable airport to hang around in during those months.

The Atlanta Airport any time of year is fricking miserable... Terrible airport.
I do have a new fav airport, SLC. Have started flying in and out for work and I love that place... well aside from B terminal being a nice walk.
Efficient, clean, food/shops open late/early.

It's worse than NYC subways when it's freezing on the streets. Always end up shedding layers while walking down there

Flew through there Thursday night and had a 3 hr layover. I actually really like terminal B there. It's empty and there are a ton of food options. Even the bathrooms are super nice, new favorite airport to fly through

And you're from Houston North! I've had similar tales of suffering in ORD and LGA. The driver I had in NYC used to call me "short pants man" because no matter what the weather was, I dressed like it was summer. Because in the terminals and planes, it was.

Agree. Anyone who knows what they're talking about knows ATL is the best connecting hub in the south.

It's the busiest airport in the world and the plane train gets your across the entire thing in a matter of minutes. It's incredibly efficient for what it is.

I try to walk when I have time to get some steps in, but if its uncomfortable I'll just hop on the train. Usually thats not too bad.
