I’m assuming it’s because it’s Mardi Gras week and LaToya destroyed it

Nah, there are always lots of South Louisiana people who choose to travel during this time. My brother worked at Breck 15 years ago, and Mardi Gras week meant tons of purple & gold and black & gold on the slopes.

I've been to Disney during Mardi Gras week and it's the same thing. Some people in South Louisiana really participate in Mardi Gras, and others use the opportunity to get away.

Agreed. Hate we didn’t run into each other, but entertaining a wife, kids, and other family makes things tough.

I saw like 5 burrow jerseys between yesterday and today on the slopes.

: ETA I wasn’t making fun of anyone. I live in Breck, and most LSU fans I meet here are great people. I saw a guy yesterday wearing an actual LSU helmet and Burrow jersey on the slopes. I respect I that. I think its awesome. Though most locals would call you a Jerry, I won’t. If I had a team or player worth a damn I’d rock it. That being said, I always wear my Colenel Reb Santa hat on the mountain, and I don’t care what anyone thinks.

Our extended group has about 20 in it. We are all from Nola, Northshore, Prairieville and the Bayou. A few skied yesterday but all are hitting the slopes today. Preliminary agenda says we will be doing a lot of Peak 9 today.

There is a moose that hangs out by the gondola near Peak 7.

We actually stayed at peak 8 almost the entire day. It was uncomfortably cold and windy.

My bests are spotting an LSU shirt strolling the back streets of Orvieto, Italy.....and the ultimate: met up by prior plan with some fellow alums at a pub in London.....guy at the next table overheard us talking and he turned out to be their former RA from campus housing. It’s a very small world.

I always catch people on the slopes on Mardi Gras week wherever we go with Mardi Gras beads on. I wear an LSU beanie and every trip get a "Geaux Tigers" from someone. This is the first Mardi Gras in a long while I'm not skiing

But really that's only because we took advantage of really low fares and just came back from skiing in Whitefish a couple weeks ago.

How do you like Breck? Deciding between Breck, Steamboat, and Keystone next year. I got 3 kids so was thinking Keystone because of the kids ski free thing.
