Remote work location recommendation

I'm looking to spend a month or two next year working remotely somewhere with wife and child. Ideally a smaller town with lots of outdoor activities.
We have considered Buena Vista, Crested Butte, or Pagosa Springs to start, but we have traveled all 3 of these (and basically all of Colorado) extensively before.
Anyone have recommendations for something else?

Domestically
Boulder CO
Bend OR (OMG!)
Ashville or Boone NC
How about Internationally? Some of the most plugged in countries in the world.
Copenhagen Denmark
Stockholm Sweden
Amsterdam (Netherlands)

Missoula is a pretty cool spot that is big enough to have all of your needs, but still not too big (75k population). Tons of hikes and other outdoor activities around there.

Great idea.
I've done too many trips to count to Moab, but Kanab is an incredible central location to Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, and GC for day trips galore.

Gardiner, MT just north of Yellowstone would be an interesting place for 30 days.
Jackon, WY
Tons of places though in Idaho, Montana, Wyonming, etc.
Tons of places in the Northwest around Seattle and Portland I'd spend a month also.

Malaga is an excellent town on the Med. we loved it. About 90 minutes to Gibraltar by car and a short train ride to Madrid and Barcelona. The people are wonderful and there is plenty to do.

I'd probably hit Hawaii if it were me

Buena Vista
Area is full. no land anymore. like the shire at the end of LOTR.
If you ignore my advice anyway, I know a bunch of hikes in the area.

I've looked at Bozeman extensively, but not Missoula. Will check it out.
Someone mentioned Jackson, WY. Which was at the top of my list, but I can't find any reasonably priced accommodations. Prices are pretty crazy there.
Someone else mentioned NW Arkansas, which we have a week planned for in January.
I also explored Pinedale, WY, which would give us extensive access to all of western Wyoming and the Wind River Range, but Pinedale itself isn't too exciting.

If you don’t want Colorado, I’d go with:
Bend
Missoula
Bozeman (I prefer Missoula)
Whitefish?
Snoqualmie/North Bend?
Hood River?
Flagstaff?
You didn’t mention SW Colorado, maybe Ouray/Durango?
Watch out for wildfire season. I’d go in June/July to minimize risk of your entire trip having 200 AQI.

Burlington, VT would be nice. Plenty of things to do and driving distance to a lot of bigger cities in the NE.
