Just returned from Italy a few weeks back. Fantastic trip and first time in Europe. Wanting to travel a bit more in the near future. How would you rank your trips by country from your trips? I wonder if there is a consensus on the best.

It obviously depends on what you like. If you're focused on the outdoors, then I think Switzerland, Norway, Greece, and Iceland are the clear winners.

If you're into castles and cathedrals, then Italy, France, and Spain would be my choices.

I'm not going to try a food and drink ranking, but you get the idea.

Does Ireland count? It should - it's in the EU.

If not - Spain, France, Portugal, Italy.

Spain with Greece as a close second. Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Italy. Have not have the opportunity for France yet. England last … if we include Turkey in Europe (controversial I know lol) I’d rank that up there as well.

Haven't been to many, but I'd go...

1. Belgium
2. France
3. Spain
4. England

Spain could maybe be higher. I only spent 1 1/2 days there because I loved France and Belgium so much and spent more time in those 2. I connected more with the Belgians than the French, which is why I have it #1.
