Sounds like the dude that rents the handicapped to get quick access to rides - thanks for ruining that for the ones that actually need it!

I would suggest you hit up Six Flags instead.

Who's talking about that? This is an official Disney thing that they provide to anyone willing to spend the money. No one ruining anything.

There is also a 7 hour minimum for the private tour guide, plus tax and gratuity.

Anyone planning on $550/ hour doesn't give a shite about minimums. I'd guess most people would be looking at 8 hours at least anyway.

OP, if you are going in the summertime or really 8 months of the year when its hot and packed then if that money doesn't matter to you then it would certainly be worth it.

I just got back from Disney, Magic Kingdom was absurdly packed on a tuesday in early February. Place is just way too busy. I did enjoy Epcot and Hollywood studios as it was not overly busy.

ETA: Basically it looks like that gets you unlimited Fast Pass use? As in you don't go to the front of the line you just get unlimited fast passes?

Honestly, if its a drop in the bucket why not? But that won't allow you to ride that many more rides. Some fast pass waits are still 10-20 minutes during busy times.

Guy I know did the tour guide thing, mostly because his wife is just a miserable person and he didn't want to listen to her complain all day about the crowds and lines. He said they rode every ride they wanted to in MK by lunchtime.

I did it with my family during a trip two years ago. It was a last minute trip with minimal planning and the one day with a host was fantastic and well worth it. The park was packed and we rode everything we wanted to ride at 3 parks in one day. They shuttle you between parks through private entrances and walk you to the front of the line for all rides. They can also get you in to meet any character in a session.

Dude, tell your wife to get to planning and have your fastpasses ready to go. If I could go during the busiest week of the year and never wait more than 30 minutes then why in the hell should you pay $500+ to skip lines that aren't that long to begin with For the record, the queues on a lot of these rides are half the fun. I'd be happy to wait 30 minutes for Peter Pan, for example, to go through that queue. I hear the same for Flight of Passage but I have only ever done that one with a fast pass. Just PLAN and you will be able to have a blast and not spend much time in line at all.

I saw several groups with tour guides and they basically just let you enter fast pass lines instead of regular lines. In no way is it worth the money. Ever. Pick a week that isn’t as crowded.

There is also a new fast pass deal for people staying in the Disney resorts in a club level. For $50 more per day per person, you get 3 additional fast passes (6 total) and make fast pass reservations 90 days in advance. With this the VIP guide is really only worth it for Celebraties that don't want to be bothered all day.

Seriously? That's bullshite, that price isn't bad at all for any small families staying at one of the better resorts. Disney is gonna be so expensive they will be pricing out a lot of people soon. I know they are packed but damn. I miss the day of everyone got one fast pass at a time until you used it then you could get another. Made it equal for anyone that wanted to hustle.

I think they are trying to add to the value of the club level rooms (for a fee). Club rooms are about $200 more per night than the regular deluxe rooms. They are also adding other features to Disney Signature Services (Club level concierge): Minnie van to and from MCO and the Disney Cruise port, extra restaurant reservations, viewing areas for fireworks, extra early hours in fantasyland MK, access to tours, access to soft openings of new rides, plus food and drink in the club lounge.

Was just there and this was not the case. The concierges has never heard of any extra fast passes for club level free or paid for.

It is the case but it is not offered at all resorts

LINK

quote:

beginning January 12, 2018, guests staying in rooms at select Walt Disney World resort hotels that are eligible for Disney Signature Services (meaning Club Level, plus the Poly Bungalows, Cascade Cabins, and Swan/Dolphin Suites) and who have purchased a 3-day or longer theme park ticket or Annual Pass are able to purchase a new “theme park extra” for $50 plus tax per guest per day as part of a limited pilot program. Since Disney has yet to give this an official name, we’ll call it VIP FastPass+.

These guests will receive the following:

Three additional FastPass+ selections per day.

Ability to reserve these three additional FastPass+ selections in more than one theme park when a valid Park Hopper option is also purchased.

Booking window of up to 90 days in advance for these three additional FastPass+ selections and the ability to book them at multiple top-tier attractions.

Preferred viewing location for nighttime spectaculars, one per day, including Happily

Ever After at Magic Kingdom, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot, Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

IMO, this is a test to see what % of people will start paying for these extras (like they did with express transportation last year). We're coming up to some of the busiest years in the history of WDW with the opening of Galaxy's Edge and then WDW's 50th anniversary in 2021.

People will want to find ways to "beat the crowds" and they will have that choice....at a price. Disney is fishing to see what sells and what doesnt.

The people at the Poly had no idea what I was talking about. I read somewhere else it was only Boardwalk.

You’re right though, their doing exactly what you say, seeing what people pay.

And people will gladly pay. Maybe not the first day, but I guarantee tons will pay once they arrive and see how busy it is during peak times.

As said I'm sure this is just for those guests paying the biggest premiums. It wouldn't make sense to offer it to others' as people would stay in lesser resorts and pay for the premium service if that was the case. Now this gives people a reason to splurge on their room.

Good for Disney, Magic Kingdom was packed on an early February Tuesday when I went 2 weeks ago. They clearly are able to up their prices. I just can't imagine going when it's busier, hotter, or more expensive. We had a great time though especially when the crowds were better in the other parks.
