LOL! The places you could go. So many great trip reports here to explore.

My votes from where I've been:

Slovenia (by a mile). Particularly around Kobarid. Vintgar Gorge. Access to wine region. Massive numbers of WWI sites and history. Great food and people. My personal "happy place".

Lugano Switzerland. Most beautiful place I ever saw.

Asturias Spain. The Picos are magical. Wonderful food and drink.

This will be a fun thread to watch!

We didn’t really like Florence, to be honest.

I’d argue some of the smaller towns and cities in northern Italy, like Alba or Lucca, are much better.

You mentioned Florence. We had a great vacation last April - 10 days in Tuscany We flew in to Florence, spent three days in the city and a week at a villa in the countryside about 20 miles south of Florence, then we went to Venice and flew home from there.

Way too broad a question...depends on your proclivities. But I’m voting for these:
—Scottish highlands (Glen Coe, Loch Lomond/Trossacs)
—Sicily, esp Taormina/area around Etna

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a statement like this in print.
