Whats your favorite lake to stay on and what area?
Just my wife and I looking for a low key weekend.
Doesn't have to be close to anything in particular but a 30 min or less drive for a good dinner would be a plus.

The obvious answer would be Lake Guntersville but don’t count out Pickwick.

What are you trying to do on the lake OP? Do you have a boat? Need to keep it on the lake, as an example? Or just looking to wake up and enjoy the lake view?
Center Hill is a great lake that's deep so it stays cool, but they don't allow boat docks on the lake. I haven't been there in a couple years but there's not a lot around but I'm sure there's restaurant options.
ETA: Its not between Chattanooga and Florence and but it should be closer to Chattanooga than Florence, AL

I prefer more east. Blue Ridge, Chatuge, Nottely, and Glenville.

Enjoying the view is tops on the list. I will not have a boat.

I second Gunterville reccs, including for the view. Been a while though.

I’ll second what Dam Guide says. We must be neighbors. Hard to beat the views at Chatuge. For something closer to Chattanooga with great views check out Lake Ocoee (Parksville Lake). The marina there rents cabins on the water and you can rent boats, paddle boards, etc on site. Near the white water rafting of Ocoee River. Can be in Chattanooga in about an hour.

Some nice airbnbs on guntersville and it’s a nice town. A couple of state parks close by with a cavern and hiking. I’m not a golfer but there are some courses in the area
