Savannah was fine, but I’m not dying to go back and I’m pretty sure the only way I’ll end up there again is if I happen to need to go there for work.

Cairo- it really was bad. While we were there, two bombs went off, the museum gift shop was still burnt out from the Arab Spring looting, a prosecutor was car-bombed (we drove through the wreckage), and the vast majority of men were very predatory (to be expected in a country with an 87% female genital mutilation rate). On top of that, large dead animals dotted the roads, and children (who go to carpet schools- basically child labor factories) are everywhere trying to sell stuff. It’s really sad.
The metal detectors at the airport didn’t work, and the “official” who checked my passport asked for a bribe to get it back. Out of instinct, I snatched it and ran away, but I spent the rest of my time at the airport worried I would be arrested for battery on an official. I’ve been to 55 countries, and this is the only place I’d refuse to step foot in again.

I'll echo Egypt. It's a dump. Trash everywhere. Canals covered in trash. We also didn't feel particularly safe. At the time, I didn't want to go back, but the feeling's starting to fade, and I'd risk it again -- if the price was right.

Monument Valley.
It's fairly near a ton of places I love. The Mighty 5 are amazing. Antelope Canyon is cool. In comparison, Monument Valley is a dud. The scenery is nowhere near as epic as nearby places and the culture there is depressing. We had a Navajo tour guide take us all around for hours the day we were there. He would just point out a few monuments (mostly ones he named himself), point out where people live, and complain that the young people were leaving to get an education instead of staying to honor the old ways.
My favorite part of the day was seeing his face after an interaction with my 5 year old daughter.
Tour Guide: Then one day, all of the Anasazi left, and no one knows why.
My daughter: Maybe they had to make a Target run.

Portland Oregon, outside of drinking and the scenery i just didn't enjoy it. Was mainly the people I guess as many were rude.

I’ll go with Vegas. Was quite underwhelming with the high prices and crowds.

Disappointed to hear this, as Egypt is def on my bucket list.

Haven't been, but my impression is that it's mainly just Cairo that's a dump, not the whole country. All the reports I've from Luxor have said that Thebes is amazing.

Portland
here's my answer.
two other cities I've visited that I didn't particularly like, Miami and Philadelphia, I'd be willing to give a second chance. Not Portland, however.

Manhattan, especially Times square

Venice, Italy. Scratched it off the bucket list and that’s enough for me.
Berlin. A solid behind the scenes itinerary might change that.
London. Just didn’t do it for me, personally.
Amelia Island. Meh.

Keep it there in the hopes things improve. Meanwhile, Baalbek in Lebanon is pretty safe (recommend a day trip through tour group though- Nakhal & Cie is great). Beirut is very cosmopolitan and safe.

Miami Beach is my #1. Note that Miami Beach is not Miami the city.
I even had a friend that lived in Miami to show us around. It is just not my culture and everyone was fairly rude to light skinned people. It requires being Latino or Carribean to really enjoy. The attitude is like you would imagine, the flashier the better but it just encourages everyone to be fake and overly dramatic. Plastic surgery everywhere. Everything is grossly over priced. Every hotel has a bar that bumps club or house music that can be heard throughout every hotel 24/7. Parking is insane and some street parking areas require you to move vehicle every 6 hours even over night. The beach when I was there was horrid. You had to wear shoes as the "sand" was seashell shards. The ocean was nasty as its right north of the main Miami shipping channel to the port. North moving wind and gulf stream throws pollution onto beach and its water.
