My kids are learning about the states this week, and I counted 26 that I have definitely been to, meaning at least staying a night there and not just passing through. I think it is closer to 30-32 if we count driving through. But I can't remember the route we took from NYC back to ATL on a MLB trip back in the 90s.

Missing
Ohio
Indiana
Kentucky
Delaware
Alaska
Hawaii
Was going to have only Hawaii and Alaska left after this summer but not looking so good. Maybe a fall trip to the Midwest states and quickie to Delaware. Can’t have Delaware be my last to visit.

All of them.
Nice.
How is that you've gotten to see all of them?

Having flexibility and making a point to see all of them. I often fly somewhere and rent a car and drive around that region of the country. I have driven a car in every state at least once.

Been to 36, have lived in 6.
VA, WV, FL, IL, VT, and MD
My big gap is in the prairie land. I do not count if I had a layover.
Out of the ones I have not been on the mainland, hope to knock of Idaho and Montana with family up that way.

45 for me, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Montana and Washington. 23 of these are from multiple cross country trips over the last three years. The plan is to get to Montana and Washington this summer. I visited New England for the first time last spring and kick myself for missing an out of the way place like RI.

Just need Alaska. I had the good fortune of having a mother that loved to travel and at the age of 10 she took a sabbatical from being a nurse and loaded up into a van and travel for 90 days with some french teachers.
I have since picked up Hawaii and need just Alaska.
