Marriot has the best points usage. But they serve Pepsi products.
Hilton is probably second.
IHG is the field hand option.

I’m a big fan of Hilton Honors. I’ve since also gotten a Hilton honors CC so I basically get 4x the points per stay compared to the base points (I book reservations with 2x points then basically the CC gives me another 2x).

This. I average 15-20 nights a year and can get free rooms for more than a week already.

Another vote for Marriott. Been with them since 2010.

Best bang for your buck on points redemption for rooms, and overall consistent cleanliness and quality.

Only “dirty” Marriott I can remember was recently the Residence Inn I stayed off not far from Calandro’s in Baton Rouge had little roaches on the damn well in the kitchenette area. Have never encountered a roach in all my stays at a Marriott chain place till and since then.

Go Hilton Honors but tell them you already at the highest tier in Marriott Rewards or vice versa. They’ll give you temporary Diamond status and you just have to stay enough times to keep it.

Stays are worth more than nights. If you’re going to stay for three nights somewhere and you’re willing to change hotels once or twice during that trip you’ll earn more points than if you stay at the same place for 3 nights.

Two stays accrues the same amount points as seven nights.

Marriott over Hilton imo. My new company has me staying with the poors in IHG though and it’s really not bad. They have some nicer properties too that I wouldn’t mind staying at on a vacation. When I’m on a work trip I really just care about clean sheets and a free breakfast.

I hate how devalued the Hilton points are. Even though i know how to do the conversion, it's just stupid.

I have them all but use Hilton and Marriott most. Prefer Hilton over Marriot, simply because have Diamond status with them and I try to keep it. I really don't see much difference in the two. Stay somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 nights per year in a hotel ..

I just gopt 2.3:1 on an Amex to Hilton transfer. Booked three nights at a Hilton in NOVA for 31000 points a night. So 13478 Amex points a night. I think that's a solid redemption.

I’m staying at a Fairfield Suites outside of Louisville next month. I’ve already earned 750 points just linking my Uber account to their app. Marriott is legit.

I recently stayed my 6th night at a Hilton this year and they just sent me an email saying that gives me Silver status for the next year (their website says it takes 10+ nights to get it), so there's that.

Of course, the only extra "perk" I've ever really noticed being Silver is getting the bottle of water at check in, which sometimes you have to ask for and sometimes you're told they don't have at the moment. Woo Wee.

I hope you already know this, but they hand out what looks like a lot of points because their redemptions are very expensive.

If we're doing this based on math alone, I think it's Hyatt for redemptions. Plus, they have a real published award chart. However, their mid tier elite status is pretty pointless.

If we're taking into account footprint and extent of luxury properties, Marriott has that.

Hilton with the Hilton Amex is the combo I use. I’m diamond but tbh I don’t really know what that gets me other than crappy snacks at check in.

I do 5-10 nights a month and put all my travel and run most of my personal expenses through the Amex so I typically don’t pay for hotels on personal trips anymore and just use points.
