Check out superior bathhouse brewery too

There’s a TrueSouth episode coming up based on hot springs. Make sure to watch it on SECN

Grateful Head Pizza - a cool location. It's more or less built on the side of a mountain.* The food was pretty good when I went there a couple of years ago.

*Maybe you'd call it a hill. I'm from south Louisiana. I don't know what the hell a mountain is.

The Fish Net on Hwy 7. Great coconut shrimp and bread pudding.

For breakfast go eat at Best Cafe and Bar. It’s part of an old hotel that they have redone. Great breakfast and good drinks

Friend,

Deluca’s is among the top ten pizzas in the country. There really is no reason to eat anywhere else while in Hot Springs. If you are in Hot Springs for ten meals, go to Deluca’s for every one of them. Pizzas are world class, salads are good, and burgers are excellent. Not quite as good as a Whole Foods smoked burger but great nonetheless.

Yours,

Definitely Delucas. Call to reserve your dough - they only make so much each day.

Also, if the weather is decent, Rolando's has good food and a great patio.

Local beer: Bathhouse Brewery, Bubba's Brewery

Steak: 501 Prime (best restaurant in HS, IMO) Backporch is good if you can't get in 501

Italian: J&S Italian Villa, Via Roma

Mexican: Jose's Mexican Grill on the lake

Pizza: DeLuca's. If you can't get in, Rock's corner across from Oaklawn is a great dive bar/grill

Brunch: Eden on bathhouse row, Best Cafe

The Bugler inside Oaklawn is overrated, imo

Taco Mama's: Had some good Mexican there a few times, but it's been a while since I was up there. We went to the one on Malvern, but I see they have opened a second location closer to downtown on Ouachita.

They kept a platter of roasted jalapenos on the counter for snacking. You have to try one. Or two.

Ohio Club: In the middle of the main drag downtown. More of a bar that is a good place for a drink, but the burger/sandwich menu is solid. Live music Thur-Sun nights.

As silly as this sounds you have to actually do this. I went at 4 pm last time I was there and couldn’t get a pizza without a reservation. It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had. Everything there is fantastic.

We used to go at lunch, and it would be quiet. No reservation needed.

But one night at dinner, I saw them turn away a group of 10. I asked the waitress why, and she said they had no reservations, and all the dough balls made that day were booked.

501 Prime and Deluca’s - as others have said, call and reserve your pie
