My wife (no pics), myself, and our child are planning a little get away for a couple nights in Texas. Looking for a place that is relaxing and can go around and has cool things to do. Waco or Fort Worth?

Those seem like strange options. Any reason for those 2 places? If it doesn't have to be those locations, I would say San Antonio or the New Braunfels area.

The Marriott in San Antonio has a water park in it. It can be relaxing and kids love it.

I would say hit up the hill country. We really like the Wimberly area along Cypress Creek and the Blanco.

Been to Galveston before. Not too crazy about it. We are going to Waco and will hit up a couple breweries, Magnolia Shop, and the Dr. Pepper Museum, walk Baylor’s campus. Other things to do there please let me know. Never been to Waco before.

Sascees

Cool little place for lunch. It is only open for lunch and has different items each day. Friday is fried catfish/BBQ day.

Neither, tons of better places. But if I had to pick from these 2 it'd be Fort Worth.

Go to one of the big hotels outside San Antonio. JW Marriot has big pool/lazy river, you are on the edge of hill country, PGA golf course.

*Edit: Please I beg you, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME IN GOD DAMNED WACO TEXAS!!!! That place is the absolute a-hole of Texas! I just don't understand how people can be so brainwashed from TV to think its some magical movie town. Its fricking gross, full of mouth breathing tourists that stand in giant lines outside in the heat to get crap food because those Waco wierdos told them to. God I hate that place.

agreed with the above poster - Waco is ranked pretty high on the bung hole of Texas cities list each year.

San Antonio/Hill Country would be my advice. Maybe a few nights at the Hill Country Hyatt and then head to Frederickburg area.

You can see everything there is to see in Waco in a day or less unless you spend tons of time at the Silos or have to wait a long time to eat there as well. You asked about anything else to do...you listed all the things to do in Wace.

If your wife is dead set on making a pilgrimage to the Silos, go for a day and then head to the Comal or Guadalupe followed by a little time in San Antonio.

Waco is a curious choice. Wife must be into Chip n’ Joanna.

Wimberly and New Braunfels/Gruene are solid options.

She is into that. We are there for 3 nights so the first night will be mainly travel. Looking into possibly taking a ride to the Fort Worth Zoo for one of the days.
