Downtown Nashville...is it worth a 5 night stay?

Headed to Nashville. Plan on 4 to 5 nights. Just wanted to know if there is enough there to occupy us for that amount of time?

I love Nashville. Really great place to visit. But I think 5 nights is too much, personally.

I would get tired of Nashville after 3 nights. I've done two nights downtown and that was plenty. I do like Nashville though.

This. if you don't have a beach or mountains, I'm not wanting to stay in a city for 5 days.

If I were you, I would fly into Nashville, drive and spend a couple days in Chattanooga doing outdoor stuff, then come back for 2 days to do Nashville on the way out
Chatty is 2 hours away

What's wrong with the Renaissance Hotel? Very nice hotel. Centrally located. Virtually across the street from the Ryman. Broadway. Attached to the food court. Check out Sixty Vines BTW.
5 nights, particularly if some are work days? Sure. Plenty to do. Nashville is probably the most reviewed city on this forum, so you can search multiple topics on bars and restaurants.
In season, you have the Nashville Soccer Club. The Sounds. The Predators. The Titans. If you like sporting events.
History wise, you have a plethora of Civil War sites within 1/2 hour of the city, including Ft. Negley.
Outdoor wise, there are many city and state parks in the area such as the Warner Park System or Radnor Lake you can hike. All within maybe 20 minutes of down town. Kayak on the Harpeth River. Or drive 1 1/2 hours and kayak the Caney Fork.
You can drive 30 minutes or Uber to Franklin, a quaint small town with lots of shops and restaurants. Check out the Factory,an old factory that used to make stoves, now a growing venue for shops, restaurants, theatre etc.
Less than 2 hours away if you wanted to drive is "The Plateau", a region in Middle Tennessee that has tons of hiking trails, waterfalls. Grab a beer in Suwannee!

Yes, 12-15 years ago.
I think it’s still a good place to visit, but it definitely has more of a commercialized atmosphere to it than it did before.

Are the Predators in town? Fun games and right downtown.
5 nights is way too many if you want to stay busy downtown, you can see it all easily in 1.5 days. But there's plenty of things to do for that amount of time if you have a work function and the time, why not?

My sister and her husband don't live too far from Nashville and the times I've went with them, we had a great time. Just based on my experience, I think four to five days in downtown Nashvegas is too much.

I enjoyed the Country Music Hall of Fame.
If you are a drinking man, there are a lot of bars there.
If you enjoy live music, there are many options.
There is an art museum.
They have a model of the Parthenon.
State capital is there.
It seemed expensive to me.

Stay in Nashville for a few nights then head southeast down I-24 to Monteagle. Rent a tiny home for the remainder of the time. You'll be 45 mins from Chattanooga and near the the South Cumberland State Park, College of the South, Jack Daniels Distillery (a must to go on a tour), the Caverns, etc.
Have dinner at the High Point Restaurant (has a cool history and is top notch) and at Top of the Rock (beautiful views).
I have land there and go at least twice a year. Plan is to retire there.

We stayed 6 nights a couple years ago, and I still have stuff on my list worth returning for. We went to the Opry two nights, Vince Gill at the Ryman one night. Hit the Country Music HOF, Musicians HOF, several clubs, restaurants, museums, farmers market, etc. Drove out to The Hermitage, Andrew Jackson’s place.
We have generous vacation time and don’t try to jam every day full of stuff, so we tend to settle in and stay in a place longer than most. We might take the trolley tour one day, then use the rest of the day and night just hitting bars, restaurants and shops we saw along the way.

The first day is really fun. The second day I had a feel for it and knew my way around. The third day I was ready to leave.

Nashville gets expensive if you are going to experience the live music & drink. 2 days downtown is enough & 1 day exploring different parts of the city (Vandy, Centennial park, Music Row) would be fine imo. New Orleans, Nashville, Las Vegas are all fun yet exhausting trips.

He ain’t kidding about I-24. Getting to Murfreesboro was total gridlock.

Love Nashville. If you are there that long, definitely work in the Ryman and Country Music Hall of Fame.
