If it was a normal down year perhaps. But I'm not really sure we have enough players to field a team. There simply might not enough left at some positions. Especially when considering butt hurt staff and the shell shocked who have been told they're overpaid.

I agree. It makes sense for someone like Miss St who has had a staff in place and is trying to take the next step forward and propel themselves into next season.

Auburn is in transition right now and doesn't need to focus on a bowl.

There should be a penalty in revenue sharing for teams like Auburn who opted out of this…

The only takes fined were Iowa State and Kansas State by the Big 12 because they were bowl eligible. Auburn is in the process of building a staff and doesn't have an offense installed. Heck, the new coaches are probably still learning names of players.

2004 Auburn refused to play an AQ OCC. Can't really complain.

Bowling Green dropped Auburn to play OU, and we picked up the Citadel at the last minute. This was the poll voters' excuse for saying Auburn beating LSU, UGA, and Tennessee (2X) was not enough to get in the top 2.

How many rushing yards did Notre Dame have today? I hate bama just like most people but there is no way they should be left out and Notre Dame gets in while sitting at home because they refuse to join a conference.

Notre Dame had 3 more rushing yards than Bama today.

Yurachek will cite this tomorrow when Bama is left out.

Durkin seems miffed: has attended any of Golesh’s public meetings. That will make for a great locker room.

He's been working his arse off these past few days trying to retain the recruits and current roster.

At USF in 2023 they put up 260 yards and scored 3 points.

In his first year inheriting a team that won 4 games in 3 years.

Guy had success as a coordinator in the SEC and proved he can rebuild a program as head coach.

This season is going to feel like riding a roller coaster.

Auburn up 6 on STJ at the under 4.

Michigan continues to roll up 22-8 on Gonzaga.

I really want us to hold on and get this one.
Unpopular Auburn opinion. The Camback was much more fun than the Kick Six. Bama fans could say nothing while everyone was walking down the upper deck ramp.

This is the best I've heard too. It's something else.

Since the iron bowl went to JHS in odd years in 1989 Alabama has never won 3 straight there

Losing record in the venue too.

Fun game so far. Big Game Tahaad showing up.
I'm only about 10 years older than Zac, but I definitely feel like we are a full generation apart. His jokes to me seem sophomoric, and to be someone who grew up in Lee County, he only seems to have true recollection of about the last 10 years of Auburn football history.

If it happened that would be his third stint at AU under 3: different head coaches (Tubs, Gus, DJ).

Has any other assistant been with a single program that many times with that many different head coaches?

4th stint. He was also a GA under Bowden.

Think about this. Think back to 2013. Going in to the Iron Bowl, what if we had had 2 or 3 SEC losses and would not have gone to SECCG or BCS if we won. Would the game have been called differently? Would there have been some kind of phantom flag on the Kick Six? Did both teams being in a position for post-season keep the officiating neutral? Who knows?

The fix was in when they added one second. Would Auburn have gotten the review had we been on offense? Boy, did that backfire for them.
Can't believe there have been this many posts and no mention of JFerg and Dan Peck.

Jason Caldwell is my favorite Auburn media person.
