Where's the best place to go? Staying in The Loop.

Skip that and go to Girl and the Goat!

The first two replies are correct and they are both different so try both and skip the rest. Thats been my experience for the last many years. You certainly cannot go wrong. Don't fall for the Ginos East or UNO pizza. They are not terrible for sure but P and Lou Malnattis are the best.

Didn’t try pequods (which everyone raves about), but lou malnati’s was by far the best I tried.
Geno’s east sucked (maybe an exaggeration) and giardanos was good.

I tend to stay away from Gino's.

Depending on the weather, you can take the Red Line (Howard) to Fullerton and walk to Pequod's. If you don't want to walk, take the 74 going west or call an Uber from the Loop.
Since you're in the Loop, there is a Lou Malnati's in River North, but I prefer the location in Gold Coast.
Art of Pizza deserves mention, but I don't think many from out-of-town think to go there. It's in Lakeview and accessible via the Brown Line (Kimball).

I just got back from Chicago and we did a pizza tour.
Started at Pizanos - had deep dish and tavern thin
Went to some place on the south side for tavern thin.
Pequads for more deep dish.
Coal fired near DePaul for some NY style.
I would say Pizanos was my favorite, but I was already super full by the time we got to pequads.

Pequod's is where we went when visiting. Someone from Chicago recommended here instead of the normal ones you hear about.

Grab an Uber and head up to Pequod's in Lincoln Park. Best deep dish in the city.

I do love Pequod's, but if I'm in the mood for deep dish, I usually go with Lou's out of convenience (WP location)..

When I went back in the fall we went to Pequod's and Lou Malanati's. Obviously if you like pizza you'll like either place, but to me Lou's was hands down better.
