Going in late June for a long weekend. Must do's, places to stay, and activities that are worth it would be appreciated!

Reviving this post since I am heading out in a few days.

The week before Christmas we stayed at the Harborview Inn right in front of the Waterfront Park. Had a great time. The restaurant I highly recommend is Chubby Fish. Might need an Uber to get there but the food we had was absolutely sensational. No reservations so get there half an hour before it opens.

Hotel Vendue.
Nice hotel right in the middle of town and within easy walking distance to most places you will want to go.

Dining recommendations are-

FIG
SNOB
Peninsula Grill
Anson

Great restaurant town.

Charleston comes up every week on here, unless you have specific questions there are more than enough topics for you to browse first

I used to enjoy posting Charleston recs on here but then it became a weekly thing

Long weekend I'd stay downtown
Hotel Bennett, Restoration, Spectator
FIG, Circa 1886, Edmund's Oast/EOBC, 167 Raw, Butcher and Bee, The Ordinary

Hall's Chophouse is an excellent choice for dinner.

Mills House to stay, within walking distance from most attractions.

Dining, Eli’s Table.

Both of these are in the French Quarter section. I call it a “Cleaner NOLA!”

To add, the owner of Eli’s Table, Ex-Military. Along with many worker, friends and customers. They were having a riot during the Covid times. The Military folks made sure nothing was damaged.

My sister got married in Charleston. Too much to do there.

167 Raw Oyster Bar. Scallop po’ boy FTW.

I enjoyed the horse carriage ride a lot more than I had expected. I also really enjoyed Magnolia Plantation, but that might be for more than a long weekend as there is plenty to see just in Charleston proper.

Charleston is great, late June is pretty steamy. Source, I live in SC.

Still great, though.

The downtown location closed, but I recommend Kickin Chicken for a casual meal.

I'd really encourage you to browse the other Charleston threads on this board - between food, accommodations and things to see, I'm confident you'll find everything you're looking for.

Nice to have Bar167 out back if you need to wait. I've gone in a few times when I have to wait for Raw.

The Ordinary was a great spot to grab a drink if you are a bourbon drinker

Second this - The Ordinary is awesome. Their staff really likes drinking at Dalila's, which is right around the corner. Smaller cocktail bar, but good music and drink menu.
